About Me

Born and raised in Cape Town, I qualified as a Biokineticist in the early 2000’s having graduated from Rhodes University with a degree in Ergonomics and Psychology. Through working with cardiac patients and weight management clients at the Sports Science Institute in Newlands, Cape Town, I quickly found my niche and developed a special interest in cardiac rehabilitation, weight management and wellness as a whole.

As a wife and parent, I sought to find a job that would offer me the flexibility that I desired. I left private practice and continued working in the health and wellness industry, as a wellness specialist for two corporate companies in South Africa. During this time, I completed the Chronic Disease Self-Management Programme at Stanford University (USA) and continued to train leaders in the industry on how to support and encourage patient self-management.

Life turned on its head many years later, when, at the age of 41, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I realised that changes had to be made and so I resigned from my corporate job. It was at this point that I developed my passion for coaching – I was grateful for my deepened awareness and understanding of the importance of living with a sense of purpose, peace, and gratitude, regardless of circumstance.
